Back to School at STLCC

STLCC student activities For St. Louis Community College alumni, it might be hard to believe that the beginning of another semester is just around the corner. With under a month until classes resume on August 20th, STLCC is preparing their campuses, teaching staff and students for another successful year. But for new college students, the next month might be one filled with anxiety. We took some time to brainstorm (and ask alumni) some helpful advice on making new students’ time at STLCC one they’ll never forget.

Keep attending classes. For some students, the stress of working full-time, juggling a social life and classes can get to be too much. But one STLCC alumni commented on our Facebook with this advice: “Make yourself keep going!”

Join a student organization. The college experience is about more than just classes and lectures. Each of our campuses offers students unique experiences and opportunities to get involved with student organizations. Whether it’s for academic interests or athletics, STLCC offers something for everybody.

Sign up for classes early and use your resources. Not sure which classes to sign up for — or even how to do so? STLCC counseling services are free to all students and alumni to help them achieve all their personal, educational and career goals. Selecting and enrolling in the right classes is just as important to your college career as earning good grades.
