Lifelong Learning: Continuing Education Teaches New Skills

For many, retirement is the time to relax and enjoy your free time. But if you’re like many who just can’t sit still, St. Louis Community College has a summer full of continuing education courses to make your time off more productive. Not retired yet but still looking to learn a new skill or pick up a new hobby? There’s no age limit on learning! Whether you earned your degree from STLCC in 1970 or you picked up a few classes here and there over the years, you’re always welcomed back. Just check out these three courses we’re offering at our campuses this summer through continuing education.

STLCC coursesFacebook (COMP: 742 680) Are your kids always on Facebook but you can’t seem to figure out why? Learn how to navigate the site and connect with all your friends and family through this course. Is Facebook not on your radar? We also offer courses on Craig’sList and eBay.

Native Tree Identification (NATR: 723 650) Want to impress your friends with your knowledge of local trees? Learn how to identify trees based on twigs, leaves, bark, fruit and more and also get some real world experience at Creve Coeur Park.

Elementary Spanish I (FLSP 701 230) Planning a visit to a Spanish-speaking country soon? STLCC offers foreign language courses for beginners all the way up to conversational Spanish. We also have courses in Japanese, Chinese, French, German and Italian.
