I actually attended during the 70s 80s and 90s. Graduated in 1992 with degrees in Human Services and Substance Abuse counseling. It took me 19 years to get my degree, but it was worth it. I attended whenever I could as I raised 4 daughters and worked. I used my tax refund each year to pay for classes. After graduation I was hired as a caseworker for the Mo. Dept of Social Services and later became a supervisor of caseworkers. I am now retired and receiving retirement benefits. I had wonderful teachers and counselors at Florissant Valley. They always encouraged me to keep trying. I could never have achieved my dreams without ST Louis Community college.
