Here's a story from: St Louis, MO (US)

On May 11, 2012, I will take the stage again in receipt of my Master's degree from Lindenwood University. Graduating college began for me at St. Louis Community College at Forest Park, May, 1988.
I encourage high school students to consider St. Louis Community College (SLCC) as an educational and economic highway to your fabulous future!
When you compare academics and affordability, SLCC is a smart choice. Do your homework when comparing colleges and universities. Sometimes, general electives are created equal as it relates to transferability and at a more reasonable cost!
Attending SLCC right out of high school afforded me the luxury of acclimating to adulthood and responsibility. Meekness is strength under control. I learned that the hard way, but I didn't break the bank in the process! I stayed home, got mature, got a college education and went on to become a well rounded, successful contributor to society, as a result!
I love sharing my SLCC story with the next generation. Attending SLCC at Forest Park was one of the greatest stepping stones I've mounted. When exploring collegiate options, SLCC is worth a look.
Good luck in all endeavors, SLCC future leaders, alum, faculty and staff! To God be The Glory!
