Graduation Time: STLCC Prepares to Graduate a New Class of Leaders
Each spring, while some students are preparing for summer internships or courses, there is one group preparing to move on in life: the graduating class. At St. Louis Community College, we’re proud to announce the details of our 50th Anniversary Commencement.
On Sunday, May 20 at 11 a.m., STLCC’s 2012 graduates will gather at the Scottrade Center for commencement. For friends, family, alumni and the general public, tickets are not required for admittance. We encourage all interested to arrive early to support the graduating class. The ceremony will include diplomas awarded to students in the 2+2 partnership program with Central Methodist University as well as to STLCC students.
The musical interlude and processional will be played by the Meramec Orchestra & Symphonic Band and the national anthem by the Meramec Concert Choir. Dr. Myrtle E.B. Dorsey, Chancellor of St. Louis Community College, will serve as emcee. Of special note is the performance of the St. Louis Community College anthem with music and lyrics by Gerald C. Myers, Ph.D.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of STLCC. Whether you were in our first graduating class or our most recent one, we want to hear from you. Leave your mark on our 50th anniversary map and let us know how STLCC has helped to shape your life!
