STLCC Supporters Bowling for Scholars

bowling for scholarsThis year, we’re celebrating 50 years of educating the St. Louis community. For our 1.2 million alumni and supporters of St. Louis Community College, April brings a special opportunity to help give back to current students. On Friday, April 20, STLCC will be holding our eighth annual Bowling for Scholars event at Tropicana Lanes (7960 Clayton Road in Richmond Heights). Sponsored by STLCC’s auxiliary services department, the proceeds will help students purchase or rent textbooks and instructional materials for their classes.

The event includes both an afternoon of bowling from 3-5 p.m. as well as an online auction and raffle, ending April 16. While our lanes might be full for Friday, you still have the opportunity to bid in our online auction. Items include an iPad, gift certificates, Kindle, Xbox, hotel packages and more.

At previous Bowling for Scholars events, STLCC has raised over $156,000. For our 50th anniversary, we hope to exceed that number. For more information on this event, please contact Ellen Gough at 636-422-2030.

If you are unable to attend or contribute to this event, but still want to show your support for STLCC, leave a mark on our 50th anniversary map and tell us how STLCC has helped shape your life!
